A new lab has been made available to provide a place for students to
receive registrations assistance, have holds removed, print out class
schedules, etc. The "Registration Station" is in Room 9D located in the
New Media Center in the lower level of the Communications Building.

SchoolCenter has 2 openings for Marketing Interns:
Hours are flexible - they can work around class schedules. (Looking for 10 to 20 hours per week, within M-F, 8-5)
Minimum GPA of 3.25.
Sophomore or higher.
Tasks will vary but may include: research, editing our corporate website, tallying survey results, sending mass emails, assisting in maintaining their online social networking presence, and more!
Overall, they are looking for eager Marketing/IMC students who are hard-working and looking to get some real world experience. Excellent organizational and communication skills are a must.
These internship opportunities are unpaid, but it is definitely a great foot in the door! (50% of their last 4 interns have been hired on!)

Sponsored by The Fund for American Studies in partnership with Georgetown University, Capital Semester – Political Journalism Track combines substantive internships, courses for academic credit, professional development activities, site briefings and lectures led by working journalists.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the final deadline of November 1, 2009 for Spring 2010; however, the early deadline for 5% off the tuition balance and priority consideration for acceptance and internship placement is October 1, 2009. The early deadline for Fall 2010 is March 1, 2010. There is a substantial amount of scholarship funding available, and awards are made based on financial need and merit.
Capital Semester combines hands-on professional experience in the journalism or communications field for 25 hours a week with a challenging academic experience. This fast-paced, residential program provides students from around the world with the opportunities to gain an edge in today’s competitive job market and graduate school admissions, and experience the excitement of Washington first-hand.
