SIUC students web design places 3rd in national contest

SIUC students awarded third place in the national College News Design contest. The Shawnee Forest website won third in best one-subject stand-alone mini-site or special section/special package of a larger website, completely designed by students. First place went to Powering a Nation, UNC Chapel Hill, while second place was awarded to OurFirstLoves.com, Northwestern University.

Congratulations to lead designers Cary Bryant, Amanda Averbeck and Seth MacFadyen and to the many students whose contributions made this all possible. Web professor, AJ Stoner said, "I have always thought it is one of the most beautiful and well functioning websites out there. The photojournalists images were excellent, and the web designers really made them pop off the screen."
